GRAFF EXPLORES PARIS 2025 TRENDS: A JOURNEY WITH ASID NY METRO
By GRAFF

Every January, ASID NY Metro takes an inspiring trip to Paris for the renowned Maison et Objet and Deco Off events, where the latest home design trends are unveiled. Maison et Objet, held twice a year, focuses on spring/summer trends in January and autumn/winter trends in September. This year's January trip was all about "Sur/reality," celebrating the revival of Surrealism and its impact on contemporary design. Graff also hosted a day with 18 designers in a luxury Paris plumbing showroom. There the designers got to see the newest of Graff’s designs and finishes.

Maison et Objet Highlights:
- Cream and Beige: These soothing colors dominated the scene, gracing sofas, chairs, and even fabrics woven into consoles and cabinets. The neutral palette brought a sense of calm and elegance to the designs.
- Rattan and Basket Weaving: This trend was everywhere! From lighting fixtures like chandeliers and table lamps to everyday items such as soap dispensers, glassware, trashcans, dining chairs, coffee tables, various furniture pieces, and even wallpaper, rattan and basket weaving added a touch of natural charm.
- Soft Edges: Think of media consoles, armoires, dining and coffee tables, lighting, and sofas with gentle, rounded edges. This trend, paired with beige tones, created a cozy, hug-like ambiance.
- Fluting or Coin Edge Details: This design element, which has been gaining popularity over the past year, was prominently featured on the legs of dining tables, consoles, and lighting, adding a touch of sophistication.
- Sur/reality Accessories: Abstract tchotchkes and art pieces were a common sight, perfectly embodying the Surrealism theme.

Deco Off Highlights:
- Innovative Wallpaper Materials: We saw some truly unique materials being used for wallpaper, including banana and mulberry bark, windowpane oysters, and flamed wood veneer. These unconventional choices added texture and intrigue to wall coverings.
- Hand-Painted and Embroidered Fabrics: The craftsmanship was on full display with a plethora of custom choices, showcasing intricate hand-painted and embroidered designs.
Bathroom Finishes:
- Bronzes: Polished and Brushed Tuscan bronze, and Warm Bronze from Graff were standout choices, adding a touch of luxury.
- Brass: Polished and brushed brass continues to be on trend, showing no signs of going out of style. With the attendees enjoying the tones of our brass.
- Gunmetal and Brushed & Polished Onyx: These finishes from Graff are emerging as popular alternatives to matte black.
- Polished Nickel: Still a favorite, polished nickel remains in high demand.

The designers appreciated Graff's wide variety of choices, ranging from traditional to contemporary, modern to industrial. The group liked that Graff offered a broad selection of bathroom options, including deck and wall mount faucets, freestanding and deck mounted tub fillers, multiple shower trims, and various delivery of water features. This was further reinforced by the fact that Graff provides all these options in all 28 of our finishes.
